Buzkashi in Afghanistan
Buzkashi is a Central Asian sport in which horse-mounted players attempt to place a goat or calf carcass in a goal (in this case it was a goat). Kirghiz nomads of Afghanistan that I observed played it during weddings where it formed the only “enterntainment-like” part of the ceremony. The game was not focued on scoring a goal and just grabbing the carcass of a goat was enough.
