Moto Himalayas

I can’t recall now how I got that idea, probably it was boredom as usual, but after landing in India and finding out that I don’t feel like doing any of regular backpacking stuff I figured out I will buy myself a motorbike and learn to ride it New Delhi. Convincing Justyna was easier to do than I thought and in August 2011 we both found ourselves riding 4000 kms on second hand Pular Bajaj machines through Ladakh and Kashmir. Close to the end of the journey we found ourselves hiking in the Kishtwar Himal National Park, which some years before became a no-go zone due to guerilla activity and kindnappings.

Route: New Delhi – Shimla – Satluj Valley – Spiti Valley – Keylong – Leh – Nubra Valley – Srinagar – Kishtwar National Park – New Delhi
Year: 2011
